Head Office File Types Head Office uses a few files to perform its functions and you should be aware of what they are and how they interact with Head Office. Below is a description of what each of the files is and how Head Office uses it. Application   This is the main application for Head Office. A simple double click to start.   The Head Office manual - stand alone documentation. League File(s)   When you create a league file, this is what the icon looks like. In this file will be a list of all the team owners you have entered and all of the players you have assigned to each of the team owners. Its very important that you backup this file because if anything happens to it, you'll have to start the whole season over. Main Stat File   BaseBall.HO This is the HO file (abbreviation for Head Office). This file contains all the stats of the players in the real world. When you edit any players stats you are dealing only with this file and that's why you should also make a backup of this file on the regular basis. If a player is NOT in this file, they will not accrue any stats.   Master Player.MLB This is a TEXT file that Quick Stats provides that contains all of the players, the teams they play on and their unique ID#'s that Quick Stats uses. Quick Stats Files   071496.HLH This is a Quick Stats preformated hitters stat file from July 14th 1996. You would use this file to UPDATE the stats in our sample league.   071496.HLP This is a Quick Stats preformated pitchers file from July 14th, 1996. You would use this file to UPDATE the stats in our sample league.   Add1Player.HLH or Add1Player.HLP This file is only used when you doing manual stats entry and you need to add a player into the HO file so this player can be edited on a weekly basis to gain stats.   zerostat.hlh or zerostat.hlp These files are only used if you are doing manual stats entry. They are only used ONCE at the beginning of the season to place all the players with their unique ID#'s and NO stats into the HO file. Once this is done, these files are not used again. If you need to add a player after this point, use the Add1Player file(s). These files were provided by Quick Stats.   pos_elig.all This is a Quick Stats preformated file that contains all the players, their unique ID#'s, and the number of times they have played at verious positions. When you want to update player position eligibility, this is the file you would use.   This is the Register application for Head Office. Use this program to register with Kagi after which you will receive a serial number to unlock Head Office.
